Harrased ObzCafe waitress touches the hearts of many South Africans

One of the leaders of the Rhodes Must Fall movement at Oxford University bragged on social media about the way he treated a waiter. In his post, Ntokozo Qwabe explains how pleased he was in not tipping the waitress.

Waitress Ashleigh Schultz is a white woman, and because of that, Qwabe, it seems, did not feel she deserved a gratuity.

Qwabe allegedly wrote on the bill: "WE WILL GIVE TIP WHEN YOU RETURN THE LAND."

Following this incident, as of yesterday, R44 777.70 has been raised for Ashleigh thus far.

CapeTalk’s Kieno Kammies speaks to Sihle Ngobese who was touched by this incident.

No matter who you are, no matter your skin colour, recognising another human being as a person with feelings is what makes us human. It separate us from animals.
