The Friday Stand-In 2016

Melanie Verwoerd rocks another #FridayStandIn gig with ease

Writer and political analyst, Melanie Verwoerd took on her second stint as the Friday Stand-In, proving that she's no radio rookie.

Filling in on The Redi Tlhabi Show, Melanie commanded the programme with ease and engaged listeners in some entertaining discussions.

Ahead of Mother's Day, she asked listeners to pay tribute to significant women in their lives and some called in with moving contributions.

She then spoke with struggle stalwart and former ConCourt Justice Zak Yacoob about his own story and his views on President Jacob Zuma, the electoral commission and South Africa's political climate.

Finally, Tannie Evita Bezuidenhout brought some light-hearted humour to the show and poked some fun at the sate of affairs in South Africa - with a koeksister reference here and there.

She stole the show with her witty quips and memorable quotes....
