Choosing a Medical Aid plan that best suits your needs

The recently published GTC Medical Aid Survey, conducted by GTC Healthcare, compares different categories of medical aid benefit options.

The survey is aimed at giving members, brokers and consultants unprecedented clarity and ease when choosing the most appropriate medical aid scheme and plan, for any person, family or organisation.

John Maytham spoke to Jill Larkan, Head of GTC Healthcare Consulting about the survey and how it will benefit the public.

What we did in our survey is that we separated the categories as far as possible and put different companies in each of those different categories.

Jill Larkan Head of GTC Healthcare Consulting

John Maytham asked Larkan to name the best medical aid in the country which she declined to answer saying it all depends on an individual needs, affordability and future benefits like maternity.

Larkan encouraged members to make use of GTC Healthcare to find out which medical aid best suits their needs.

Once I have reviewed the information about which one is better for you, then ill be able to guide you. For you as the man on the streets to try and navigate 180 plan types and know which one you should be going on is going to be rather difficult.

Jill Larkan Head of GTC Healthcare Consulting
