The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) confirmed that suspended South Peninsula High School principal Brian Isaacs could soon face dismissal.
WCED Communications officer Paddy Attwell says that a presiding officer recommended he be fired after Isaacs was found guilty in the second of three disciplinary hearings.
According to Attwell, Isaacs was found guilty of two out of four original charges, in addition to two alternative charges.
Two of the main charges were related to abusive and insolent behaviour towards colleagues, while the alternative charges involved publishing false statements about the WCED.
The decision to fire Isaacs now rests on whether he will appeal the charges, explains WCED.
