The African National Congress (ANC) in KwaZulu-Natal has confirmed a Cabinet reshuffle which has resulted in four MECs being removed from their departments.
This comes after Senzo Mchunu resigned as premier and was replaced by Willies Mchunu, last month.
ANC Provincial Secretary Super Zuma has denied speculation that it had anything to do with the resignation of Mchunu, or the removal of his allies.
Zuma says the changes affect several provincial departments, including education, economic development and tourism, arts culture as well as sport, and agriculture.
It's a balanced deployment which is informed by our desire to unite the province and bring in experience.— Super Zuma, ANC Provincial Secretary
