702 listener donates R10 000 to struggling dolos inventor (who never got paid)

Aubrey Kruger, the struggling inventor of the dolos (a concrete block in a complex geometric shape used around the world to protect harbour walls from waves) never received payment for his revolutionary design.

Recently, a 702 listener donated R10 000 to Kruger.

The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviewed Independent Financial Advisor Peter Calitz about the donation.

The lady – a sprightly 80-year-old – is donating the money in memory of her father, who was on the East London council at the time of the dolos invention.
