The Western Cape Social Development Department says trauma councillors will visit survivors of the Mitchells Plain house fire.
Eight people, including seven children, died in the blaze that gutted a house and two informal structures on the same property Saturday morning.
Spokesperson for Social Development MEC Albert Fritz, Sihle Ngobese, says that officials have already provided food, clothing and alternative shelter.
According to Ngobese, social workers will offer trauma debriefing and determine what kind of burial assistance can be pledged by the department.
