Walt Disney to release homegrown Mzanzi animation short 'A Dogshow with Cat'

'A Dogshow with Cat' is the first animated short film Disney has bought from an African animation studio, says Triggerfish creator Mike Scott.

The 3 minute animated short goes online today on Disney's UK Youtube channel as part of 10 shorts being produced worldwide.

Scott says it is also a teaser for a longer animated series they are creating.

'A Dogshow with Cat' is the story about a sophisticated dog who is trying his best to be a good boy. He moves in with his best friend, a wild and unruly cat.

Scott says she wears her heart on her sleeve and lives in the moment, while the dog tries to keep things neat and tidy. They live in the Karoo next door to an angry sheep farmer and the series will tell the stories of their madcap antics.
