Buhle Sithela wants to open an outdoor cinema in Khayelitsha

Buhle Sithela runs a bin cleaning project in Harare, Khayelitsha. He funds his passion for films, from money he earns cleaning bins.

Sithela has been screening movies in Khayelitsha, and is now looking at expanding his movie screening business. 21 year old Buhle is determined to raise funds for an outdoor cinema.

Speaking to CapeTalk's John Maytham, Sithela says his dream is to have cinemas in many corners of Khayelitsha.

I don't want to have the cinema in one place, i want to take to many corners, to the schools and churches and bring people together to watch movies.

Shortly after the interview, Sithela's wish was granted. The CEO of the Cape Town Partnership, Bulelwa Makalima-Ngewana, contacted CapeTalk and offered to help the young man.
