Another three SABC journalists could face suspension

Foeta Krige, Executive Producer RSG Current Affairs, Economics editor for radio and TV news Thandeka Gqubule, and RSG news producer Suna Venter have all been suspended by the SABC.

Now three more senior journalists Krivani Pillay, Executive Producer SAFM, Busisiwe Ntuli, Executive producer Special Assignment and investigative reporter Jaques Steenkamp are facing suspension as well.

The three sent a letter asking for clarity from COO Motsoeneng, expressing the confusion in the newsroom. They said their newsroom has "become a source of derision, despair and criticism from the people we are fundamentally accountable to, the public at large."

In the letter they also express solidarity with the three suspended colleagues. Jimi Mathews was cc'd in their letter yesterday, and this morning news of his resignation broke.

Steven Grootes spoke to EWN Reporter Ziyanda Ngcobo about the issue.
