Adventure into Citizenship programme mentors future leaders

Future leader Hloni Leholo, from Hottentots Holland High School, is one of the learners chosen for the Adventures into Citizenship programme.

Adventures into Citizenship is an annual Rotary programme for Grade 11 and 12 learners from schools around Cape Town. It's been running annually for over 50 years.

Leholo, who is on her school student council, says that she was chosen because she is involved in a lot of activities at her school.

Since Monday, the adventure citizens have visited parliament, Table Mountain and the High Court where they met Judge Hlophe and participated in a question and answer session.

Coming up this week, the adventurers will visit the navy in Simonstown, and have dinner with the Mayor of Cape Town, Partricia de Lille.

Leholo says these adventure trips have inspired her to look at her future and focus on what she want to do as a future leader.
