President Jacob Zuma's visit to Lenasia's Thembelihle informal settlement, in the south of Johannesburg, has received mixed responses.
Zuma interacted briefly with members of the community as a part of his election campaign trail, which coincided with the launch of an electricity project by the City of Johannesburg.
The area is earmarked as a housing project and set for a major overhaul, after recent protests by residents over the lack of electricity and other basic services.
EWN's Thando Khubeka says most residents were happy to see Zuma, but others criticised his visit as a publicity stunt.

Zuma visited at least three homes in Thembelihle that received electricity for the first time.
