Cape Town (2), Johannesburg (5) among cheapest cities on Earth – Mercer Survey

Mercer's Cost of Living Survey is one of the world’s most comprehensive studies into the cost of living for expats.

The survey, now in its 22nd year, ranked 209 cities based on the costs of more than 200 items such as housing, transportation, food, clothes, entertainment and household goods.
