Blöchliger case inspired communities coming together to look after each other

Right after the murder of Franziska Blöchliger murder, John Maytham spoke to Lisa Sonn who is passionate about bringing communities together across race and class line.

Her aim is to revive the communal spirit of people looking after each other and lending a helping hand where necessary.

Sonn has been active in attending the Franziska Blöchliger court case and that's where she met a group of women and started a Whatsapp group in which they communicated.

A Soup kitchen was initiated from the group and other community groups were set up where children are shown the right path.

My commitment at the moment is to those children, to show them whats possible so that they don't end up being Franziska's murderer, they don't end up thinking they don't have value.

Lisa Sonn

Sonn says that she is committed to making a genuine long term difference, and her initiative is not just a fleeting response to the hype after the Blöchliger's murder.
