Zackie Achmat sends a message to "crazy" Boris Johnson

Social justice activist Zackie Achmat took the airwaves by storm starting his #FridayStandIn show with a message for UK's foreign minister, Boris Johnson.

We are led by clowns, by stupid politicians and crazy politicians, one of them is Boris Johnson. Someone please get a British ambassador on the line. We need to call her. We we don’t want someone who believes South Africa should be re-colonised. We don’t want a racist.

Achmat didn't steer away from controversy in the three-hour show and this sparked different views from listeners during the open line.

Here are some quotes that got the phone lines buzzing:

"I don’t pay for my TV license"

"The ANC controls the media, not only SABC. It controls new private media as well."

"I believe Jacob Zuma is a gangster."
