Snow and heavy rain in most parts of the country over next two days

The South African Weather Service has issued an alert, warning drivers and residents about snow, strong winds and heavy rainfall.

Eastern Cape, Free State and KwaZulu-Natal will be the most affected areas in the next few days.

Sections of N3 and R74, between Bergville and Harrismith, (KZN) are among the major roads affected by snow, which started on Sunday.

KZN EMS have also urged people not to visit areas where snow has fallen because roads are not user-friendly.

Weather forecaster, Simon Gear, told John Robbie that areas in the Cape, Southern Cape Coast, and KwaZulu Natal (KZN) will be largely affected by the cold front.
