IEC CEO Mosotho Moepya says the IEC is saddened by two deaths near voting stations and the shooting in Vuwani.
Two people have died at the voting stations, in Ingwe municipality KwaZulu Natal and Struisbaai municipality in the Eastern Cape.
Moepe says both deaths appear to be caused by natural causes.
The IEC extends its condolences to the families and speedy recovery to the IEC official injured in the motor vehicle accident.
He says bad weather has resulted in moving certain stations to safer venues.
At least 30 tents have been significantly effected by the gale force winds and the Electoral Commission has taken a decision to allow voting stations in the worst affected areas to move to nearby permanent structures where feasible.— Mosotho Moepa, Independent Electoral Commission CEO
Overall, Moepe reports that voting has gone smoothly for the most part today.

Voting stations will remain open until all those in queues have voted.
