Township farmers harvest the benefits from a partnership with UCOOK

UCOOK is an online dinner kit delivery service that provides its clients with organic ingredients to prepare a delicious meal for the whole family.

UCOOK clients visit the website; select their desired dishes from one of three menus put together by some of the top chefs in South Africa. UCOOK then puts together the ingredients, and delivers them to the clients along with corresponding recipe cards.

UCOOK is working with small independent farmers in Khayelitsha, Nyanga and Philippi to source all the fresh vegetables from them.

Ryan Brouwer, Operations manager at UCOOK says they have decided to work with Abalimi Bezekhaya's Harvest of Hope because their produce are fresh, best quality and the farmers are accountable for all their produce.

UCOOK is offering CapeTalk listeners first time users, a 30% discount on any online purchases. Go to their website and type in coupon code #CapeTalk
