The River Club in Observatory will undergo a R4 billion re-development over the next four years.
The popular golfing hub will boast a hotel, gym, shopping centre, office space, conference centre, residential units and school.
Western Cape MEC for Economic Opportunities, Alan Winde, explains that the project is a part of the private spatial plan for the area known as the Twin Rivers Urban Park.
According to Winde, development will facilitate the space for a central area to live work and play.
The development is open for public comment and Capetonians can have their say.
Winde says the development model will be implemented in phases over 120 hectares.
