Mantashe: Zuma not to blame, ANC takes collective responsibility

ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe says President Zuma will not be stepping down. This after the party suffered huge losses in the recent general elections.

Mantashe conceded that the negative narrative surrounding Zuma was raised at last week's four-day ANC National Executive Committee meeting.

John Robbie spoke to Mantashe about the growing chorus of criticism directed at Zuma, from the Nkandla scandal to corruption and rape charges. Robbie told Mantashe that former President Thabo Mbeki recall was seen as "trivial" compared to Zuma's scandals.

We performed badly in 9 provinces... we take collective responsibility.
