Meet Keith Kirsten, guru of gardening and world-renowned horticulturist

Gardening doesn’t have to be expensive.

Keith Kirsten

Keith Kirsten - South Africa’s most well-known gardener and world-acclaimed horticulturist – recently opened his new franchise concept, Keith Kirsten Garden Centre.

The centre is, according to Kirsten, built to inspire gardeners, young and old.

The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviewed Kirsten for his weekly “ShapeShifter” feature.

Keith Kirsten has informed, entertained and inspired gardening enthusiasts for more than 30 years.

In 1978 Keith Kirsten borrowed R17 000 and founded Keith Kirsten’s Nurseries and Garden Centres.

Keith Kirsten won the IMM Marketing Award of the Year (1989) and Prisa's coveted Communicator of the Year (1997).

In 1993 Keith Kirsten won gold at both the Stuttgart IGA show and the Chelsea Flower Show.
