Retailers selling gas above the regulated price are ripping customers off

Robert Maake, Director of Fuel Pricing Mechanism, Department of Energy, state unequicocally that the retail price of LPG is regulated by the Department of Energy, and retailers hiking prices are breaking the law.

It is currently R18.28 per kilogram.

Callers phoned in to relate the exorbitant price for gas they have made at local stores, one man paying as much as R20 a kg.
