Matleng Energy Solutions brings cost savvy solutions to energy consumption

Matleng Energy Solutions prides itself in being unique in their providing efficient solutions to their clients and challenging the under-representation of women in the field.

Executive chair Nelisiwe Magubane says they offer solutions that decrease the reliance on electricity as the only source of energy in households. One client decreased her electricity consumption by a third.

The company, which was founded in 2014 and is 70% owned by black women, has provided their services to various low-cost housing developments in Gauteng, and one in the Eastern Cape. The majority of their clients are in the private sector and housing developments.

What makes them unique in comparison to other housing developers, is their innovative approach of using existing technology to reduce input costs and create jobs.

702/Cape Talk's Eusebius McKaiser spoke to Nelisiwe Magubane and Corrie van der Wath regarding their offerings, their successes and what they hope to achieve on today's edition of Entrepreneur's Corner.

We don't just provide them with electrical engineering design but we also look at the total needs of the household.
