Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane chosen to replace Thuli Madonsela

Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane has been chosen by the Parliamentary ad hoc committee tasked with finding the next Public Protector.

Mkhwebane's previous work include seven years of experience working at the Office of the Public Protector as an investigator. She also worked as the senior manager at the Department of Home Affairs. She is currently an analyst for the State Security Agency.

The African National Congress and Inkatha Freedom Party raised strong arguments in favour of Mkhwebane.

Members of Parliament will now have to endorse her name.
