Cosatu lashes out at Maphatsoe and Van Rooyen

The Mkhonto We Sizwe Military Veteran's Association (MKMVA) held a media briefing on Monday to publicly criticise Finance Minister, Pravin Gordhan, for not handing himself over to the Hawks last week. The briefing was called by Deputy Minister of Finance and military veteran, Kebby Maphatsoe, and Cooperative Governance Minister Des van Rooyen.

Cosatu spokeman, Sizwe Pamla slammed Maphatsoe and Van Rooyen for using a public platform to air their views.

As an alliance partner we fell this is not what the ANC needs. The voters punished the ANC as they are fatigued by factionalism."

Pamla questioned why the ANC could not resolve the issues internally and said Minister Gordhan has every right to question and challenge the legal issue.

To see people after the election results pretending that nothing has changed is worrying. I thought the ANC would sober up after the elections. Act like leaders and provide leadership.
