EOH Youth Job Creation Initiative

Taking on interns; giving them work experience… Give these CEOs a Bells!

The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviewed Oracle SA Country Manager Kholiwe Makhohliso and Tennant Group CEO Steve Tennant.

Makhohliso and Tennant spoke about how their companies are supporting the EOH 702 Youth Job Creation Challenge.

Tennant started taking in interns in 2015, beginning with two.

After a year he employed them.

This year he has taken on eight interns and encourages other CEOs to do the same.

The EOH 702 Youth Job Creation Challenge seeks to galvanise corporate South Africa to help combat the country’s job crisis.

EOH and 702 calls on company CEOs to pledge a minimum of 3% of their workforce to learnership and internship programmes for unemployed youth.
