The good, the bad and ugly in the business of comedy

'Lot's of people do infrastructure very well, very few people do strategy very well.'

That's what separates Goliath Events from everyone else in the comedy industry, according to the strategic head of the business, Donovan Goliath.

In an extension of the Goliath & Goliath comedy brand, brothers Jason and Donovan Goliath and partner Eloise Boezak introduce a fusion of comedy, strategy and events business to South Africans.

Born and raised in Umtata, Donovan hit it off in the comedy scene in Johannesburg's cultural hub Melville. He formed a partnership with brother Jason, a fellow up-and-coming comedian. They soon had their big break in 2015 as hosts for the Comedy Central International Festival at Montecasino.

They have recently launched their own comedy club called the Goliath Comedy Club in Melrose, in partnership with Roast Cafe.
