The latest Forbes 400 list of the richest Americans shows that the average member of this elite saw her or his net worth rise by $200 million (to $6 billion).
Donald Trump, however, bucked the trend.
Due to cooling property prices - and new information about his holdings – Forbes now estimates Trump’s fortune at $3.7 billion (down $800 million).
As a result, Trump dropped 35 places on the Forbes 400 list (to number 156).
