Friday Stand-In: In conversation with Tiwa Savage

Friday stand-in, Leslie Kasumba, speaks to Nigerian-born artist, Tiwa Savage.

Savage started out her music career as a songwriter based in the US. She then decided to move back home to Nigeria to further her career there.

The move back to Nigeria was just the boost her career needed. She now has two albums under her belt – Once Upon a Time and R.E.D (Romance Expression and Dance).

Savage is a multiple award winning artist and has recently signed an international management and publishing deal with Roc Nation.

Kasumba spoke to Savage about her music and how she landed the Roc Nation deal. She also played some of Savage's popular songs. Listen below:
