Big and small companies alike often lose the plot when it comes to managing their brightest employees.

Global Head of Human Resources at Investec Marc Kahn discusses the science behind talent management and advises on setting boundaries without actually managing anyone.

“Real talent does not need to be managed, and those that need to be managed are not real talent. Steve Jobs, Winston Churchill, Bruce Whitfield… Can you imagine any of them being managed? You’d simply get in their way. I think talent management should be flipped and be called 'get out of the way of talent'.”
