Talks underway at Wits ahead of General Assembly

Students and management at Wits university are currently in dialogue over a proposed General Assembly that is due to be held tomorrow.

EWN reporter Thando Kubeka says the purpose of the current talks is to debate issues that they are going to put forward in tomorrow's General Assembly

They are kind of mapping out a plan of action so that they can go to the assembly speaking in one voice.

Kubeka says Winnie Mandela, and religious leaders are expected to be present at the General Assembly.

The situation is calm for now, says Kubeka.
