Jamboree at the 2015 Jozi Film Festival

702 popped into the Opening Night of the fourth annual Jozi Film Festival, the festival is being held at Johannesburg's only independent cinema, The Bioscope Cinema in Maboneng.

This year the festival opened with a debut film by young director, Jenna Bass. Bass' creation "Love The One You Love" is a film that tells the parallel stories of everyday South Africans who begin to question the ideals we hold too sacred: love, happiness, and the New South Africa.

Moments before the screening we gave director, Bass, 15 seconds to tell us why we should go check out her film :

While we were there we also bumped into 'Love The Way You Love' lead actress, Chi Mhende who says that the film is breaking stereotypes:

Co-Founder, Shareen Anderson invites everyone to the festival which is at The Bioscope Cinema in Maboneng between 19 - 22 February:

702's Sam Cowen will be speaking to the founders and more film makers who are showcasing their work at the film festival this weekend. Among these is director, Ernest Nkosi.
