Redevelopment plans for Newlands Cricket Ground

The Western Province Cricket Association recently approved plans for the redevelopment of Newlands Cricket Ground.

The multimillion redevelopment plan with its estimated cost of R450 million will include the rezoning of Newlands, and will also include the transformation of its private suites into various multi-use facilities.

Currently, Newlands Cricket Ground enjoys the recognition of being one of the world’s most scenic cricket venues.

According to the Western Province Cricket Association, this redevelopment plan could also be an income generating model for the other cricket grounds in the country.
