Jwarha Lager inspires the rise of the clans in Mzantsi beer

From making beer for his friends, Khanyi Pupuma has entered the distinguished league of South Africa's craft beer brewers with his Jwarha Lager brand.

In 2012, Pupuma had a craft beer for the first time at Beerhouse in Cape Town, and immediately became interested in brewing.

He has since established his own brewery business, Ekhaya Brewery, which produces around 3000 bottles of beer a month.

Pupuma's success has also enabled him to introduce a new royal ale to the market called Dlamini, which is part of his vision of the #RiseOfTheClans in South Africa's craft beer market.

Pupuma spoke to #NightTalk's Lovelyn Nwadeyi about his success in the brewing business.
