Julius Malema predicted Gordhan's arrest months ago

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema called the arrest of Minister of Finance Pravin Gordhan will months ago.

Malema said when President Jacob Zuma appointed Gordhan as the minister of finance in December, 'Zuma's people came to him saying they do not want Gordhan'.

Malema made these comments during the local government elections campaigns in May this year.

Zuma appointed Van Rooyen as the Minister of Finance, he got into trouble. Business put pressure to remove Van Rooyen and then put Pravin (in).

Julius Malema, EFF leader

Zuma's people came to me and said we don't want Pravin and we know you guys don't want Pravin. So please write questions to the President, so that President can answer genuinely and honestly so that we create cloud around Pravin. And we said we are not going to be part of that.

Julius Malema, EFF leader

I was informed last week that the Guptas came back for their liquidation case. And they told the liquidators not to worry about liquidation because Pravin is going to be arrested, and once he is arrested, then he going to be removed... Then they will put a minister of their choice and the liquidation against the Guptas will disappear.
