Urgent interdict to stop Madonsela from releasing 'state capture' report

The Presidency has served Public Protector Advocate Thuli Madonsela with a notice of intention to interdict her from releasing her report into state capture.

Madonsela is due to hold a press conference tomorrow, her last day in office before she hands over to her successor Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane.

EWN's Gia Nicolaides reports that Madonsela's office has refused to confirm if she will be presenting a report-back on this particular investigation.

This week President Jacob Zuma and lawyers representing members of the Gupta family asked Madonsela not release the report before they were afforded the opportunity to present witnesses with a different version of events as evidence.
