Jaunty Zuma commits to building SA economy

On Tuesday President Jacob Zuma addressed the Heads of Mission (HOM) Conference taking place at the Department of International Relations and Cooperation in Pretoria.

EWN reporter Clement Manyathela says the President spoke extensively about the economy saying that the country wants to achieve growth, jobs and decent lives for the people.

He told the representatives of countries that there must build partnership that will help achieve economic growth for the country. He said they are the marketing and promotion officers.

He said they must also familiarise themselves with the nine point plan.

When asked whether the President spoke about Minister of Finance being charged with fraud, Manyathela says the only time Zuma mentioned Pravin Gordhan was when he congratulated him together with Jabulane Mabuza, Chairman of Telkom South Africa for a job well done in making South Africa investor friendly.

Manyathela says the President looked happy and bubbly while addressing the Heads of Missions, and was making jokes.

He didn't appear bothered by all the instability in the country at the moment, he added.
