Mail & Guardian in a new partnership with Daily Vox

Daily Vox co-founder and founding editor Khadija Patel says she will bring lessons learnt by the Daily Vox to Africa's first online newspaper Mail & Guardian.

Yesterday Mail & Guardian announced Patel's appointment as its new editor of the weekly paper and its online platforms from the beginning of November.

In the statement the M&G also said there is a new partnership between the Daily Vox and the M&G.

She says the voice and place of M&G is especially important, and she hopes that the publication continues to hold those in power to account across its platforms.

I think what we are trying to do, instead, is to infuse some of our focus and ability to meet young people at the Daily Vox, with the traditions of the Mail & Guardian.

Khadija Patel, Daily Vox co-founder and founding editor

We will look at the lessons we have learnt successfully at the Daily Vox, and try to implement those at the M&G across the platforms.
