Amnesty push for independent probe into Sudanese government

Amnesty International has released a report accusing Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir of using chemical weapons on civilians in the country's Darfur region.

Africa Programme Director at Amnesty International, Netsanet Belay, says witnesses interviewed, videos and photographic evidence gathered suggest a possible use of chemical weapons by Sudanese forces.

The immediate reaction from Sudanese government is denial, as usual.
