South Africans brace yourself for Beautiful News 365 days a year

Beautiful News is an initiative to show the sunny side of life and prove to South Africans that it is not all doom and gloom.

At 4:14pm for 365 days the people behind the project will release a “Beautiful News” story to remind people of the extraordinary and amazing things happening in our wonderful country.

Adrian Steirn, founder and director of the Ginkgo Agency says the idea is to collect and preserve positive stories and messages of ordinary South Africans without a voice and let them inspire someone.

This is about looking around and looking at each other and saying this is an amazing country and this is a community worth fighting for.

Adrian Steirn, Founder and Director of the Ginkgo Agency

We cannot rely on our government and political parties to pick us up but we should rely on each other.

Adrian Steirn, Founder and Director of the Ginkgo Agency

Steirn says each day a Beautiful News story will be featured on News24 at 4:14 pm.

Some of this stories will bring joy and some will make us cry, says Steirn.
