EFF and Gender Commission applaud decision to ban US pastor

The Commission of Gender Equality says banning American Pastor Steven Anderson will send a strong message to others that the rights of the LGBTI community are protected by the South African law.

The Commission has welcomed Home Affairs's decision to not allow the controversial pastor and his associates to enter the country as was expected later this month.

Meanwhile, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) say they welcome the "compromised ban on the anti-gay and racist US Pastor Steven Anderson".

The EFF does not in any way affiliate itself in any form with the compromised and corrupt Malusi Gigaba, but we have to welcome this decisive move to ban this monster from entering our shores.

EFF statement

Yesterday, Anderson bashed Archbishop Desmond Tutu for his pro-gay stance and caused a stir on-air.
