Why the dollar can’t stay this strong forever

The dollar is pumped up on steroids, says South African Chamber of Business CEO Kevin Wakeford, but it won’t last.

“Consider for a moment the extremely high and unsustainable debt levels in the US,” says Wakeford. “How on Earth do you pay that back? When will the bubble burst? Something has to give.

“The US economy is a giant Ponzi scheme and cannot support the dollar at these levels over the long-term,” says Wakeford.
