UCT engineering students to assist in creating skate park in Langa

Engineers Without Boarders is a completely student-run initiative and non-profit organisation with the aim to create more socially-conscious engineers.

Recently members from the University of Cape Town teamed up with Outlangish, a skating initiative in the township of Langa, and together they aim to design and construct a skate park for the community there, to be completed by July of this year.

They say they have a good reputation of coming up with solutions (such as looking for cheap solutions to our electricity situation in poorer communities) and as such get approached by community projects to assist, and one of them was Outlangish.

They are appealing for corporates and professionals to assist in the process by getting on board - whether it is through sponsoring the project, making donations of materials, offering the use of equipment, design input or just giving advice.
