Inflation falls to 4-year low

South Africa’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) fell to 3.9 percent (year-on-year), a four-year low, in February, Statistics South Africa said on Wednesday.

This is down from 4.4 percent in February.

The Eastern Cape (four percent), Mpumalanga (four percent), North West (4.1 percent), Free State (4.2 percent) and the Western Cape (4.5 percent) are the provinces with an inflation rate higher than the national average.
