Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan says he is convinced that government will find answers to address the needs of the students who have been protesting for free education.

During his speech Gordhan announced that he has allocated R17.6 billion for higher education over the next three years.
The minister condemned the violence and burning of property, saying burning the infrastructure costs money.
Xolani Gwala asked him about the statement he had made 'When you see me back here in October presenting the medium term budget it means I have political support, that is how these things work', and Gordhan answered:
