Two ANC officials are in police custody after a council meeting became bloody in Nelson Mandela Bay last week.
The councillors handed themselves over at the Humewood police station this morning and are expected to appear before the Port Elizabeth Magistrate Court today.
ANC councillor Andile Lungisa and another councillor face charges of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
Two other councillors were left injured after the fight broke out and it's alleged that a security guard discharged a firearm.
