SA Post Office runs out of stamps

Head of retail Geert Bataille has confirmed that the Post Office has run out of stamps nationally.

At the moment the Post Office is making use of philately stamps as an alternative. However, some customers are not happy about this, says Bataille.

The normal standardised stamps have been ordered and will be available in the new year.

Bataille says they've been trying to raise external funding which came in later than expected, which contributed to these delays.

The fact that the stamps are not locally manufactured also contributed to the problem.
