Decision on release of State capture report imminent

Judges in the High Court in Pretoria could make a decision later on Wednesday on the release of the Public Protectors state capture report.

This after opposition parties, the DA, UDM, EFF and Cope, were successful in their bid to be added as respondents to oppose President Jacob Zuma's application to halt the report's release.

Today (Wednesday) they (opposition parties) can argue for the release of the state capture report and Zuma's legal team will argue why it shouldn't be released.

Gia Nicolaides, EWN reporter

The three judges were willing to hear this application late on Tuesday night as an urgent matter. By the end of business today... even this evening, we could have a decision on the report.
