5pm deadline for state capture report release

Various citizen-driven action campaigns, political parties, and ordinary South Africans have gathered in the Pretoria CBD in support of the Save South Africa march and taking a stand against corruption.

According to EWN reporter Barry Bateman, various political leaders arrived at the Pretoria High Court where President Jacob Zuma's application to halt the release of State Capture report was to be heard.

He says there is a lock down in the CBD and a high police presence

Meanwhile, reports from inside the courtroom state that President Jacob Zuma's lawyers withdrew the application to stop the release of the state capture report.

EWN reporter Gia Niccolaides says reasons as to why the President has decided to withdraw his application are still unknown.

Zuma's lawyer Advocate Anthea Platt, came into the courtroom and made an announcement that she was given an instruction to withdraw, after she was seen having a caucus with her legal team.

There is some indication that the report will be published at some point today, according to the legal team
