Meet Mphumeleli Ndlangisa - the man behind natural Magna Carta Wines

Owner of Magna Carta Wines, Mphumeleli Ndlangisa, has set himself apart from the rest with his range of natural wines.

The University of Cape Town graduate took the plunge and ditched his secure investment banker job to embark on the road less travelled.

Speaking to 702/Cape Talk's Eusebius McKaiser, Ndlangisa shared his journey through the years since founding the company in 2014.

What we focus on is natural wines so we are going back to traditional methods of making wine, which means non-intervention.

Magna Carter Wines currently produces 10 000 bottles annually, however, there are plans to expand the business model and partner with a retailer that matches his philosophy.

The Stellenbosch-based establishment produces Magna Carter Pinot Nior 2014, Magna Carter Chenin Blanc 2014 and Let the wine speak for itself Syrah 2015.

Listen to his story in the interview below:

The threshold to get into a supermarket is 30 000, so we are not in supermarkets at all... We focus on wine bars and restaurants.
